Day 1 (24/03/11):
My Footprint Counts
This morning we spent some time exchanging introductions with Whaea Jeanette. We discussed in brief, e-Learning and ICT then watched a short video called ICT is Fun in Learning.
Intention: We are learning about digital photography in Powerpoint and how to take great snapshots.
Whaea Jeanette spoke about the three elements of great photography being
- subject matter
- light
- composition
and shared a series of four digital photography based tasks (two of which we will complete):
Tech Team D -
1. Five Important Things About Me
2. 6 Word Digital Memoirs (Classroom Items)
3. I Spy - Name (6 Living Things)
4. Theme Scavenger Hunt (9 Jobs That People Have At School)

Success Criteria - We know we have achieved taking great snapshots when our photographs...
- are original
- are sharp and in focus
- are taken using different angles and frames
- show elements of subject matter, light and composition
- are interesting and varied
- demonstrate the 'thirds rule'
Our presentations have since been group together, saved as tasks in pdf files and uploaded to this blog via the web2 tool Slideshare. Take a glimpse at our final efforts (NOTE - Slideshare could take some time to load and may not be supported by Mac/iPad):
Our day came to a close with circle time using reflective sentence starters.
